PROJECT SELECTION / EVIDENCE REGISTER

Build a register someone can trace back to the record.

Choose this path when you want to practice connecting sources, questions and conclusions in a coherent educational project. A blank spreadsheet alone may already meet your needs; the kit adds a fictional packet, reference answers and later evidence to reconcile.

Choose by the work you need to practice.

For candidates comfortable with basic accounts, permissions and supplier terminology who want to explain their own document analysis. A text editor and spreadsheet application are sufficient. The kit does not provide an employer assessment, compliance certification or feedback on your individual submission.

Chapter 2 develops the evidence register; chapter 10 revises the file when follow-up records arrive. The package contains blank and completed evidence registers, a case packet and revision material. The full project links those records to a worksheet, finding and memo.

The genuine eight-page sample includes the opening evidence-register lesson. The later revision chapter is outside that excerpt. The short exercise below is original material for this page, separate from the book case.

Write a scoped evidence request

ORIGINAL FICTIONAL EXERCISE

Try the decision first.

Fictional Vale Studio supplies EV-01, a written requirement for quarterly role review; EV-02, an account export generated on July 2; and EV-03, a manager message saying the June review is complete. No completed review record accompanies the message. Your question is which account decisions were made during June.

How would you label the three sources without treating their receipt as proof that the review happened as required?

Teaching material, not a verified employer question or prescribed assessment procedure.

Your practice output

Four source entries with reference, type, date, scope, supported observation, limitation and follow-up; plus a revision note explaining the changed conclusion.

Read the worked reasoning

Log EV-01 as the stated criterion, EV-02 as a dated population snapshot with June coverage unestablished, and EV-03 as a completion statement requiring supporting detail. Preserve each source date and the period it actually covers. Request the June population and recorded decisions, including reviewer and completion date. The present packet supports neither a complete June review conclusion nor a claim that no review occurred.

Change the evidence

A signed June decision list arrives as EV-04. Add it as a new source and reconcile its population to the relevant June account records. Preserve the earlier open question and explain which part EV-04 resolves. A signature alone does not establish complete population coverage.

A practical way to decide.

A free example may meet your immediate need. Choose the full kit when its connected records and revision exercises address a specific gap.

  1. Download the free worksheet and attempt this three-source classification.
  2. Read the actual opening lesson to inspect how the kit explains source limits and requests.
  3. Choose the full kit if you need the connected packet, completed references and follow-up revisions; retain the fictional-project label in your own portfolio.
